What is this site?

The current incarnation of MaNiFeX.net is a place for me to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in my life. The current version is running Wordpress as a backend and is completely dynamic. This is a big change from my previous webpages. I am not a blogger, per se, but Wordpress offered such a good content management system, I had to try it!

MaNiFeX.net started out as my brainchild of a webpage when I was 16 years old. That was 1996, and a lot has changed!!! If you are still reading this, then wicked, you have found a rich source of Matthew’s internet booty. Click around and see if you find something worth your time. If you do, please give me a mail! This is the 5th incarnation of MaNiFeX.net. To see the other versions, see below. Enjoy!

Older (Static) Versions

  • MaNiFeX.net 4
The predecessor and inspiration to the current version. This was an experiment in iWeb allowing for easy updating of photo galleries and RSS feeds. Though it is nice for a beginner, an advanced web designer would feel very limited. Still a nice web page, though!
  • MaNiFeX.net 3.1
The last home-brewed page that I created using XHTML and CSS. It’s pretty cool, but it took FOREVER to post photos. Compliant and easy to navigate, this is the start of my quest for a dynamic CMS.
  • MaNiFeX.net 3
A new look with a “windowed” theme. The same as the site above, but using tables instead of CSS. My first try using CSS.
  • MaNiFeX.net 2
Hmm… This is actually my least favorite incarnation of MaNiFeX.net. I wonder why it took me so long to change? Laziness, inspiration, who knows. I like the color scheme of this site quite a bit, but had to go with a more mainstream look. Check out the newly added photos section…
  • MaNiFeX.net
Kick Ass! It’s the original. This was made in Minnesota as my first web page to go on a server, and it was finally hosted in Portland, OR. The navigation is basic, but I really like the front end page.
  • The Oubliette
Who doesn’t like NES? If you just answered “I don’t,” then get the fuck off my site. The Oubliette was dedicated to bringing NES to the PC. It really kicks ass, but I went to college and stopped updating it. Out of the flames of the Oubliette came MaNiFeX.net
  • Cruzer’s Homepage
    Wow. 1996, enuff said.
